USA Today reports, today, that google is now an officially recognized verb in Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary. Surprised that it had taken them this long, I looked around to see if it was already in the Oxford English Dictionary.

As it happens, the OED added it on June 15, along with crunk, ho-bag, fucking A, and carpet muncher.

Read the whole list. It’s a nice barometer of our recent cultural advances (speed dating has been added under the entry for speed, dirt bag has been added under dirt, and heroin now includes a nod to heroin chic).
